Three weeks ago, 10,000 Beds, Inc. hosted our very first Gala.

Who knew, right?

We aren’t gala producers, we are a 501c3 nonprofit working to help addicts. But we had a Gala and we called it the Gratitude Gala. Several hundred people dressed to the nines and gathered together in Santa Ana, CA to celebrate recovery. It was a magical evening.

Why have a Gala when there is so much work to be done?

We believe in giving thanks, not just for meals or for miracles, but for everyone involved in making those meals and miracles happen. We believe taking time to feel the emotion of gratitude strengthens our already strong resolve to continue moving forward (it’s not a bed of roses, ya know). We believe being grateful keeps us humble and focused.

Who was invited?

Everyone.

Who attended?

Some of our favorite people both in and out of the addiction treatment and recovery industry. Our friends and family and partners.

Did you achieve your goal?

The mission of 10,000 Beds is all about. Our efforts are focused on helping those without resources seeking help for addiction; we help them get the treatment they want and need through scholarships. Our treatment program partners supported the Gala, our sponsors supported the gala, funds raised will support our scholarship program. And a good time was had by all. So, yes, we achieved our goal!

When’s your next gala?

We are working on three gala’s : Utah, Florida, Arizona. Dates and locations will be announced very soon.

Why more gala’s?

The positive energy, the powerful synergy, the spirit of community, the selfless act of giving – all were felt at the Gratitude Gala and hopefully carried forward by 10,000 Beds and those in attendance. We want to spread this positive, powerful sense of purpose and gratitude; we invite everyone to join in expressing gratitude for all who help others.

And we ARE grateful.

Thank you. Thank you to all who supported, participated, attended, sent notes of encouragement, donated, and are working to help others. You are our heroes.

And here’s a great video recap of our magical evening in Santa Ana: https://youtu.be/uTmWvv3Meek – you won’t want to miss the next one!
