What We Do
OUR GOAL
Our goal is to identify and award 10,000 scholarship treatment beds by the end of 2020.
We will accomplish this by partnering with quality treatment centers across the country for a donation of one treatment bed per year, based on their bed availability and client assessment.
Our generous partners donate ONE BED PER YEAR to be used through our scholarship program to provide treatment to an individual who wants and needs treatment, but does not have the resources to cover the associated costs.
TO QUALIFY
A qualifying scholarship applicant will have submitted an online application, and completed a follow-up pre-screening interview initiated by 10,000 Beds. Our 10,000 Beds staff carefully reviews applications for appropriate and thoughtful placement in a sponsoring partner facility.
10KBEDS AFTER CARE PROGRAM: our After Care Program provides critical resources to our graduating clients as they re-enter the world healthy, clean and sober. We stay connected, offer employment resources, access to free extracurricular activities, downloaded sobriety helps, and our Annual 10KBeds Walk and Picnic. We’re not just an organization and our clients are not just clients, we are family.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Once approved as a potential scholarship recipient by 10,000 Beds, the online application is forwarded to a specific selection of our partner facilities for review.
If a partner facility feels the applicant is a good match for their treatment model, it will have staff conduct a phone assessment to further qualify the applicant for admission.
10,000 Beds scholarships are awarded by a facility based on bed availability and client assessment. This is a unique philanthropic opportunity for treatment facilities focused on using every available bed, every single day, to help one more client and save one more life.
SAMHSA
Non-qualifying applicants are provided information on community support organizations and online groups; we encourage them to seek help locally.
With the goal of 10,000 scholarship beds by the end of 2020, we are working diligently to strengthen partnerships, increase resources, and save lives.
One bed. One life. Once a year. That’s what we are asking for. Become a lifesaving partner today!
