Dear friends,

As many of you know, I was a nonprofit consultant and professional speaker before launching 10,000 Beds, but chose to walk away from what was a very fun and even lucrative career when our family was hit again by the disease of addiction several years ago. Thankfully, we are now all in recovery, learning from the past, and moving forward.

2016 was 10,000 Beds’ first full year as a 501c3 organization helping addicts without resources into treatment through scholarships. We have awarded more than $1,000,000 in scholarships for addiction treatment in 2016. We couldn’t have done this without our amazing treatment program partners.

We plan to double our efforts in 2017. And I plan to start speaking again – on the power we each have to instigate change, to manage change, and to change ourselves.

10,000 Beds has taught me so much, working with the awesome, awesome people in the recovery community has inspired me, our humble and grateful clients have motivated me to reevaluate my priorities, and as a result, I’ve seen changes in myself I never expected.

But today I am not launching a new speaking career or looking for a new consulting contract; today I am asking for your support for 10,000 Beds.

We have a lot of work to do in 2017, a lot of lives to save. Join us today and help us save lives! Any contribution is appreciated, and any amount helps.

To those who have already contributed: Thank you for being awesome friends, for caring so much about others, and for your support for 10,000 Beds.

To those in recovery, to the supportive families of those in recovery, and to those working ethically in the addiction industry: I salute you. You are my heroes.

To those who have yet to give: It’s your turn to shine. Join us in our battle to help those others have forgotten. Please donate today.

May we each reach our goals, exceed our dreams, and help others along the way.

With much love from Utah – Happy New Year to all.
